For this Trending Thursday, we’re taking a look inside Layered Landscapes trend from our 2016 Garden Trends report.  

Plants that are beautiful and serve a purpose are the essence of any layered landscape.

People are using native trees and plants that support local wildlife to help bring their yards back to its natural habitat.

Dr. Doug. Tallamy, professor of entomology and wildlife ecology at the University of Delaware, says people who want to create a layered landscape should start with trees and simply layer shrubs and flowers underneath.

Living landscapes rich with wildlife are at the forefront of this trend.

The 25th annual awards winner was different.

This year Will Smith was honored with the award because of his incredible career as musician, sitcom superstar and Oscar-nominated actor. Smith has succeeded in almost every aspect of the entertainment industry.

So, while PR professionals might not be billion-dollar superstars like Will Smith, their careers definitely have a few things in common.

While work and play may seem like conflicting ideas, an article in Entreprenuer Magazine suggests having fun in the office can increase employee motivation and productivity, which leads to increased ROI.

Google may be one of the most well known companies famous for having fun. The company is well known for its innovative office designs and creativity-based culture.

While we might not have tube slides and food trucks at Garden Media Group, we still know how to have fun while getting the job done.
