Today’s guest on Grow! with Katie is Marta Maria Garcia of Nature’s Way Farms!

Marta Maria paved her way as a powerhouse woman in the horticulture industry, but didn’t start in this industry! She began her journey at Bacardi Rum Company in Puerto Rico. When Bacardi noticed her dedication and immense work ethic, they promoted her to the Senior Brand Manager of Bacardi USA and she made her big move to the states!

After spearheading at Bacardi for seven years, she went on to her next big adventure (which brought her to our industry) at Costa Farms, which we all know and love. At Costa, she was responsible for so many of their successful campaigns and business moves.

After ten years at Costa, Marta then made a leap of faith and started her own company, Designer Cut Flowers, in 2017. DCF is an importer of high-end cut flowers grown in Guatemala, Colombia and Holland.

She now works with Nature’s Way Farms, a women-owned farm in Miami, Florida!

Nature’s Way Farms is an independent grower that has more than 40 years of experience growing plants. The company has expanded from 5 to 300 acres, where there grow more than 700 varieties of plants for home gardens, decks, patios, and landscaping, including flowering shrubs, climbing vines, ground-covers, woody ornamentals and houseplants.
