But, how can you compete with 181 million blogs? To put it simply, your garden business cannot get blogged down.
Blogging with a purpose is key, but promoting your blog is the other half the battle. It isn’t about blogging more, but instead, blogging better.
Below our ways to successfully blog with a purpose and get your blog seen.
Content Tips
-
Be Proud of You! The biggest advantage of your blog is that it is completely and utterly YOU. To compete with other garden industry bloggers, don’t try to be them; be YOU. Use your voice, your favorite colors, and write about topics that you are genuinely passionate about.
-
Blog on the Regular. Look at the analytics of your blog to determine the best days for you to blog, based on page views and social shares. Pick a manageable number of days to blog a week. Consistency is the foundation for a successful blog. Visitors want to know they can count on you to blog every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
-
Be Optimistic. When you begin blogging, the readers won’t flood in. It takes time and consistent effort. Don’t get frustrated if your visitor count is low. If you keep promoting and blogging with a purpose, your luck will change.
-
Know Why You’re Blogging. Everyone should blog!! Well, yes, but no. Having a blog just to have a blog isn’t the right idea. Set goals. What do you want to accomplish with your blog? What is your short and long-term vision for the blog? Answering these questions will drive your content and motivation.
