Missed MANTS? The Best of MANTS 2013 for Garden Industry Leaders

mants 2013 garden trade showsToday marks the one week anniversary of MANTS, the Mid-Atlantic Nursery Trade Show. Sniff, sniff. MANTS never lasts long enough for us. Of course, it’s a ton of work for exhibitors and public relations teams alike, but MANTS is one of the most humbling, exciting trade shows we go to all year.  One exhibitor from Oregon said, "if you don't show up at MANTS you might as well not be in business”, another said MANTS is the Big Leagues compared to all other shows around the country!” No wonder it’s nicknamed The Masterpiece of Trade Shows™. We couldn’t agree more!

Since MANTS is one of our favorite trade shows of the year, we want to pass along a token of our experience—just in case you and your garden business weren’t able to make it this year. First and foremost, we’re going to recap the stars at MANTS. But, if you’re looking for something a bit different, head on over to our GMG Twitter Feed to re-read our LIVE tweets during the show. It’s never too early to relive the moment, right? We’re already flipping through our photos at Garden Media today!

Buzz Buzz: The Garden Products Creating the Most Buzz at MANTS

Lavender Phenomenal

lavender phenomenal peace tree farms garden trends 2013Lavender is one of my personal favorite plants of all time, so I may be a bit biased… But, everyone else loved the Lavender Phenomenal too! This Lavender plant was introduced by Peace Tree Farm and is absolutely amazing. The Lavender Phenomenal  is a survivor; it survives exceptionally well through the winter and can even withstand extreme heat and humidity. This hearty, little plant also is deer proof and attracts butterflies. What more can a gal want?

HGTV Home Plant Collection

HGTV Smart and stylish shrubs collection 2013 garden trends 2013Who knows color, design, and plants better than HGTV? They just joined Twitter, and at MANTS, they showcased 12 new plants to the HGTV Smart and Stylish Shrub Collection. HGTV chose plants that will work best in specific regions of the country, and we are always a fan of native plants. Once we saw the vibrant leaf colors and copious blooms, we were in l-o-v-e. The Lemon Sweetie Potentialla and Sweet Heart Halos Hydrangeas were our top two favorite. They are the perfect colors to brighten January!

BrazelBerries

BrazelBerries raspberry shortcake garden trends 2013We’ve been a lover of BrazelBerries for some time, but we will never pass up the opportunity to celebrate the most delicious shrub we know. These beautiful blueberry and raspberry shrubs are thornless dwarf shrubs can fit on your patio or your front lawn. Best of all, you eat them! They produce the most succulent fruits I have ever tasted, and the shrub looks breathtaking in every season.

Live it Again!

Our team was also buzzing around MANTS with a video camera. We were interviewing loads of exhibitors at MANTS; in the video, we highlight all the best aspects of MANTS and why it’s SO incredibly important to attend industry tradeshows. The finishing touches are still being added to the video, but be on the lookout! As soon as the video’s done, we’ll share it here!
